He loves it.
A Wisconsin man marked the 50th anniversary of eating Big Macs almost every day by earning himself a well-deserved spot on the Guinness World Records.
Big Mac enthusiast Donald Gorske, 68, of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, made a routine stop at his local McDonald’s on Tuesday, where he celebrated hamburger-loving fun every day for five decades.
It only seemed fitting for Gorske to have a Big Mac at the same McDonald’s where he had his first bite of the iconic burger in 1972.
“At that point I said, ‘I’m probably going to eat these for the rest of my life,'” he told Guinness World Records.
Gorske broke the record for most Big Mac burgers eaten in a lifetime in 1999, after eating a whopping 15,490. Guinness updated the total to 32,340 last year.
In 2004, Gorske was featured in the documentary “Super Size Me” for his efforts to eat burgers. In the documentary film, he says he always orders a cup of Coca-Cola from his Big Mac, and rarely eats the fries.

To make the moment as special as possible, Gorske’s local McDonald’s hung a sign outside the restaurant that read, “Congrats Don on 50 years of Macs.”

His portrait even hangs on the wall in the restaurant he religiously frequented.
“I will probably eat Big Macs every day for the rest of my life,” Gorske told the outlet.
During his half-century love affair with Bic Macs, Gorske missed just eight days. To make up for lost time, he sometimes eats two burgers a day.
“When I like something, I always stick with it,” he added.
Since then, he’s doubled the record and then some.
As a testament to his unprecedented achievement, Gorske keeps each individual burger box and receipt every time he locks his lips with the buns.
