The Chiefs’ proper tackle situation is fluid to say the least. Veteran Andrew Wylie could take over there, as could Lucas Niang if he’s healthy. Kinnard’s edge-on strength and Wylie’s sixth-man value if there is an injury elsewhere on the line, however, could force the rookie into the starting lineup sooner rather than later. The team plugged in freshmen Trey Smith and Creed Humphrey last year, so it’s no big leap to think they’ll do the same as Kinnard’s height and strong grip impress this summer.

The skinny: The Chiefs traded their first-round pick for pass-rusher Frank Clark, who played well in his first two seasons, but retired last season. They had six picks after the first and five are still with the team, while there will be three starters next season. They are receiver Mecole Hardman and safety Juan Thornhill, both second round picks, and fifth round corner Rashad Fenton. That’s a great value.
How I did it: I liked Thornhill’s choice on lap two but said there were better options on the board when they picked Hardman in second. I said Khalen Saunders can be a steal defensively in the third round, but he has mostly been a backup with five starts in his career.

Top Priority: Adjusting to Life After Tyreek Hill
stories. We may have one in Kansas City. There’s an idea that Tyreek Hill could be replaced by a commission of lesser players that — added together as four quarters — equals one dollar. Hill’s physical gifts represent a rare cauldron of athletic DNA, which danced in perfect harmony with Patrick Mahomes’ titanic arm. That chemistry won’t be easily recreated in Hill’s new home in Miami (more on that below) — or back at Arrowhead. Mecole Hardman, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, JuJu Smith-Schuster and second round rookie Skyy Moore offer a workable assortment of skills. I’m confident that the Chiefs will succeed less because of the foursome and more because Andy Reid has made deep transitions on offense about 777 times in his career. I trust Mahomes to maximize his weapons. However, the Chiefs can’t be afraid to look different.

1. Skyy Moore, WR, Chiefs
I’ve been an admirer of Moore for months. Fell in love with the traits he showed on film, and my rating system spat a middle of round one on him. Now he lands in Kansas City with Patrick Mahomes throwing him the football in the offense of Andy Reid and Eric Bieniemy. How on earth could I keep from advocating for Moore now?
The Chiefs have 360 ”available” goals from a season, and yes, they have added Marquez Valdes-Scantling and JuJu Smith-Schuster in free agency. But I’m a firm believer that it’s inevitable that after Travis Kelce’s vaunted Kansas City strike attack, the target will swing toward Moore as the season progresses. It is as dynamic and complete as a receiver. I rightly think the league messed up by dropping Moore in the lap of the Chiefs – they traded back and still got to pick him in round 2! The combination of talent and situation is dynamite here. Moore is my OROY squad for training camp. Comfortable.

Nantz also noted that, like the Dalai Lama in “Caddyshack,” Mahomes is a “big hitter.” “When I played with Patrick, he was still a little new to the game,” Nantz said.

This is our best of the best group, and it should come as no surprise that they are all between above average and elite across the board. There are no weaknesses below the middle, along the attack line, or below the players who must position the attack in order to succeed.
The Packers and Chiefs have a lower pass-catcher rating than in previous seasons, after they traded out Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill respectively, allowing several teams to pass them in the overall standings. The Chargers have been steadily rising every year, we did this ranking, and this time they crashed into the top five. If Justin Herbert continues to climb, they may eventually reach the top spot.

So they needed a big performance if they wanted to give themselves the best shot, and as the Kansas City Chiefs reminded us all on social media, a big performance from Charles is exactly what they got when he managed to score 5 touchdowns on the day, including an NFL record for most receiving touchdowns by a running back in a game with 4:
The result eventually helped them cross the line as they finished 2nd in the AFC West and bagged the 5th seed for the playoffs, where they eventually lost to the Indianapolis Colts in the Wild Card round.
