Save $20 on various Pokémon games for Nintendo Switch

If you’re a pokemon fan, loading some of the more recent titles for Nintendo Switch doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Unfortunately, Pokemon Legends Arceus isn’t locked into this $20 off deal (although it’s $10 off at Amazon), but these other games should help you get your must-catch-em-all for less. Best Buy and Amazon both discount Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (the remakes of Diamond and Pearloriginally released for the Nintendo DS in 2006) for $39.99 each.

The biggest upgrade to these games is the full 3D treatment, although it looks a lot like those original titles. For those who don’t like grinding XP to improve each Pokémon individually, you might like to know that these remakes have EXP share, allowing all Pokémon in your group to gain experience in battle. If you want a less on-the-rails experience and like to explore an open-world, pokémon-filled environment, I recommend trying either one pokemon sword or Shield† These titles form the basis for Arceus‘ more elaborate open-world traversal, but remember that the combat system in these games isn’t as frenetic. Either would be a suitable game for someone who hasn’t played yet pokemon game rather, as they are welcoming and fairly straightforward. Pokémon Sword and Shield

You’ll save $20 off the usual cost of either pokemon sword or Shield for the Nintendo Switch. Usually $60, they are both currently discounted to just $40.

If you have room in your budget for a slightly pricey but packed fitness watch, our wearables and fitness tech reviewer Victoria Song thinks $299.99 is a great price for the Garmin Fenix 6. It usually retails for around $350, but was originally released for $599.99 back in late 2019. It features a 1.3-inch always-on display and a few useful features, including wrist-based heart rate monitoring. and a pulse oximeter for sleep monitoring and to determine your blood oxygen levels at higher elevations. For outdoor use, you can take advantage of the three-axis compass, gyroscope and barometric altimeter, along with comprehensive GPS support (GPS, GLONASS and Galileo).

Garmin Phoenix 6″

The Fenix 6 has a 1.3-inch always-on display and a 47mm case, along with broad GPS support and plenty of sensors to track health and traversal stats on the go. Garmin claims it lasts 36 hours per charge in GPS mode or up to 14 days in smartwatch mode.

As wall chargers come with higher wattages resulting in even faster charging (finally!), it might be wise to upgrade some of your USB-C cables to play around with them. I’m saying that now my colleague Umar Shakir has just published a review of Ugreen’s $179.99 Nexode charger that can distribute up to 200W across six devices at once or up to 100W on a single device. Seems like an impressive device.

If you want a 100W certified USB-C cable, you can get really lucky with this deal from Amazon, which includes two of Ugreen’s 100W ready cables in a package for just $15.99. They are normally $18.99, but be sure to clip the $3 coupon on the product page to get the lowest price.

These Ugreen cables are each six feet long and support charging speeds of up to 100W, making them suitable for tablets, some laptops, phones, and other portable devices.

The Xbox Series S Hasn’t Been at hard to find in stock nationwide, but great deals on console still only happen once a month or so. If you don’t want to pay the full retail price of $299.99 (and are okay with getting refurbished), Woot has a lot you might be interested in. The Series S in “grade-A refurbished” condition costs $239.99 when purchased via Woot mobile app for iOS or Android. To be clear, Woot claims it will have “minimal cosmetic damage” at most and that it has a 90-day warranty through Woot. An Asurion protection plan can be purchased through Amazon and applied to the purchase.

Microsoft Xbox Series S

The Xbox Series S is smaller than the 4K-compatible Xbox Series X, but it can still handle the same digital games, albeit at a resolution of 2560 x 1440 QHD.
